COOKIE Control – A Time Saving Nutrition Tip

This was a popular tip I posted a few years back so I thought I’d share this time saving nutrition tip again in case you missed it with an added bonus tip on COOKIE Control.

I add greens to my smoothies all of the time. This is a great idea that I just had to share!

*Fill up your blender with a 3-4 cups or handfuls of greens such as fresh spinach, kale, arugula, romaine, chard, etc.

  • *Add a bit of water to the blender, typically 1/4-1/2 cup.

*Blend until smooth.

*Pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze. 2 cubes should equal about 1/2 cup of greens so I suggest adding at least 4 cubes to your smoothie so you get at minimal 1 cup of greens in.
Either keep them in the tray or pop them out once they are frozen and store them in a  freezer bag or container in the freezer.
P.S. Have a cookie craving? I have a tip!
Make a batch of cookie dough and freeze in cubes. When the cookie craving strikes, bake as many as you’d like. A great way to keep you from eating the whole batch in one sitting.
Live well.
