Do you love chocolate? Silly question.
Here is how I make myself a little chocolate treat without ruining my day while getting in some protein!
This is my recipe: It contains 117 calories, 3.5 g fat (the good kind), 3g fiber, 13.1g protein
- 1/2 cup Chobani Non-fat Greek Yogurt (I use 1/2 container which is actually a little less than 1/2 cup).
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I prefer trader Joe’s but others are fine) You can use skim milk or soy milk but you’ll have to adjust the calories a bit.
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (hershey’s or trader joes is what I use).
- Optional* if you decide it is not sweet enough, you can add 2 tbsp of nonfat french vanilla coffee mate cream or 1 tspn of agave nector. Again you will need to adjust the calories.
Pour all ingredients into a blender with a handful of ice- enough to achieve desired thickness. Blend away.
You can top with a dollop of light whipped cream. I suggest either Cabot’s or Reddi whip (cool whip has hydrogenated corn syrup)
